Learn about buying bed sheets

This tip is brought to you by Influenster.
Okay, so this is obviously a topic that is controversal. Why? Because people have different opinions and ideas of what feels good to them. So, here is my interpretation of what I look for when buying bed sheets and what I feel is important to me. I am going to share some tips with you on what to look for when selecting bed sheets. 1. Price-you have to know how much you are willing to spend. Sheets sets can come with so many different prices. You have sheet sets that range $40 and up. 2. What do you want your sheets to do? Do you want them to feel soft? Do you want a crisp feel? Do you like for them to keep you from sweating? Do you want to be able to machine wash them or take them to the dry cleaners? This is all about what you want your sheets to do. So it's whatever you decide. I personally like for my sheets to be soft. When I am shopping, I feel the texture of the sheets which helps me determine if I will purchase that particular set.
Once you have the answers to the questions above, follow my tips below.

Tip 1: Adequate pocket depth- The fitted sheet should be deep enough to fit your mattress. This is to keep it from sliding or popping off. Now, I have had this to happen to me, and trust me, it's frustrating.

Tip 2: Breathable fabric that works for most seasons- Sheets that are 100% cotton "breathe" more and are less likely to make you sweat than polyester blends, which is especially important during warmer weather.

Tip 3: Reasonable care instructions. With the exception of very high-end silk, mostly all sheets are machine washable and dryable. Follow the manufacturers care instructions for cycle speed, temperature and stain removal to maximize their lifespan. Manufacturers give instructions for a reason!

Tip 4: Usually the higher the thread count, the softer the sheets will feel. This may not be true in all cases because fiber quality, and yarn size, play a role in a sheets comfort and durability.

So if you are deciding on which sheets to buy, check out my tips above. Happy Shopping!

Best Practices Clean Sonicare Toothbrush handle

This tip is brought to you by Influenster.

It shows you how to effectively clean your Sonicare toothbrush handle and brush. There is a total of 9 steps to follow. If you have a toothbrush like this and it has become yucky, you can follow these best practices to get rid of germs.
Step 1: pull out your Sonicare toothbrush handle.
Step 2: grab some Clorox or Lysol wipes.
Step 3: pull out a Clorox/Lysol wipe.
Step 4: wipe down the toothbrush handle with the Clorox/Lysol wipe.
Step 5: don't forget to clean the top part of the handle where you attach the brush.
Step 6: wipe out the bottom of the brush with the wipe.
Step 7: grab some hydrogen peroxide.
Step 8: pour a little peroxide (less than a capful) on the brush and wait about 5 minutes.
Step 9: you will see the peroxide begin to bubble and form a white foam. When the peroxide has stopped bubbling and there is only foam, feel free to rinse off the brush with water. Your Sonicare toothbrush handle and brush is now clean.
